Among a sea of weddings with neutral and muted color palettes that have been increasingly popular lately, this vibrant photo shoot in Los Angeles really stood out. The shoot took place at The Fig House, an urban-style meeting space with mid-century modern architecture and interiors. Shades of red, purple, teal, along with touches of gold on the wedding elements complemented the venue beautifully, creating a luxurious setting inspired by Hollywood glam. There was so much beauty in one place, and luckily Brian Leahy was behind the lens to capture it all.
From rich velvets, to warm ruby colors and gilded accents throughout, the style of 19th century Imperial Russian aristocracy was at the forefront of our design vision. When we met Russian photographer Anya Kernes living in LA, we knew she would be the perfect fit. In the movie, the love story unfolds on a literal stage. With that in mind, we chose The MacArthur in Los Angeles as the backdrop for the style shoot. Dripping with chandeliers and full sized stage, there couldn’t have been a better location!

Vintage inspired weddings… They were made for the Carondelet House, no? Its exposed brick and beam ceilings totally had that romantic flair Daisy + Hartley were going for. A color palette of rose quartz, serenity, ice, and light sage brought everything together for their intimate 54 guests too. Thanks to Sally Pinera Photography for the images below!

Have you always dreamed of an elegant garden wedding, yet now that you’re in the planning process, you find yourself gazing longingly at on-trend boho-chic designs? This styled shoot featuring two of our gorgeous gown is sure to inspire brides who want to blend different décor elements into one beautiful day. “This photo shoot was derived from a sense of the Victorian era, with the focus on elegance and a touch of lace, lush flowers, and fine accessories,” explains Debbie Liaw of Aquafuzion.
"The model bride, wearing a boat-neck gown in French Alençon lace with a satin-organza skirt, sits on a lovely vintage settee while looking straight out of a Victorian painting. “The dress is an ideal choice for a bride who is looking for a classic, but elegant look,” says Grace Pei, owner of the JINZA Couture Bridal boutique in Los Angeles. However, the lush, oversized bouquet – composed of peonies, scabiosas, tweedias, clematis, clovers, smokebush, and seeded eucalyptus – that the model holds showcases a bohemian style. The model groom wears a classic tuxedo, but his scabiosa boutonniere reveals a less-traditional slant."

"Today's blushing bride is getting ready to dazzle guests at her Indian fusion wedding with the perfect blend of American, Chinese and Maharani style! Angela donned a stunning white wedding gown from JINZA Couture Bridal, which had elements taken from a traditional qípáo, perfectly mixed in with a classic, lace dress — and we are in love! To honor her hubby-to-be, she skipped the western-style veil, and opted for a silk dupatta that added a rich pop of color to her bridal fashions. Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema captured the breathtaking moments as she revealed her look to Raja Tushar, who was handsome as can be in his all-white ensemble and pagri with contrasting red details. With help from beauty expert Susie Chhuor of S Studios, Angela was beyond picture perfect for her pre-ceremony portraits, and when we return, she'll be heading down the aisle to exchange I dos with the Raja of her dreams! Check out the gallery for more first look moments between Tushar and his bride-to-be before we dive into their spectacular fusion ceremony moments!"

We were lucky enough to stop by this beautiful tabletop from Luxe Linen's Luxe Launch 2016 at Vibiana. The team had a beautiful gown custom made by Miss Tashina, but were nice enough to let us stop by and take some photos in our Katie gown! Click HERE to see the full feature on California Wedding Day.
"Inspired by the Hacienda Encantada resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, the designers from First Pick Planning and Peony and Plum perfectly captured tropical vibes and bright colors in a chic design for this year's Luxe Launch party hosted by Luxe Linen. "We were very passionate and excited to incorporate bold colors and be playful with the design," says Jen Bergmark of First Pick Planning. The "Teal Dupionique" underlay and sheer, white "Simone" linen overlay from Luxe Linen complimented each other beautifully and set the scene for the whole design. Bright, summer-toned floral arragements by Peony and Plum popped against the metallic gold accents in the decor. Exquisite china from Dish Wish Events was elegantly paired with handmade teal placecards to create lovely place settings topped off with a bold, pink Ranunculus to tie everything together. "We set the table as if it was a table in someone's home, a real Hacienda," says Bergmark. And they did just that, we absolutely love this design!"

"When building a table for the launch party that celebrated Luxe Linen’s 2016 line, Grace Song of Charis Events & Design wanted to start with a solid base. “The inspiration began when we fell in love with two of their newest linens – ‘Creation Natural’ and ‘Cashmere Iridescence Dupionique,’” Grace explains. “[They created] a very romantic texture that played a tremendous role in our tabletop.” She notes that her team desired to match the elegance and historical concept of the venue while adding a bit of glamour into the design. From this idea sprang forth the name of the tablescape, “Memoirs of Romance,” meant to represent its propensity to linger in a viewer’s memory."

"For Luxe Linen's 2016 launch party for their new line, several stunning tablescapes were created by pairings of well-regarded wedding planners and florists. Natalie Good of A Good Affair worked with Little Hill Floral Designs to create the stunning tabletop they entitled “Hibiscus Glitz,” named for the elegant “Hibiscus” linen in blush from Luxe Linen used to dress the table. The creative team expertly paired “Blush Iridescence Dupionique” napkins with the ballet pink linen featuring a gold floral print that manages to be oversized, yet subtle."
